Worker Safety Act of 2026
This bill clarifies the process for filing complaints about workplace retaliation under North Carolina's worker protection laws. It specifies what information complaints must contain, allows employers to submit response statements within seven days, requires extra materials submitted with complaints to be destroyed and kept confidential, and establishes how time periods are calculated in these cases.
SNAP Funding in Response to H.R. 1
This bill appropriates $85 million in state funds to replace federal funding that North Carolina will lose for administering the SNAP (food assistance) program due to changes in federal law (Public Law 119-21). The funds will be distributed to the Department of Health and Human Services and counties based on their actual losses in federal administrative support.
Affordable Food Act

Annexation of PUV Land/School Capacity

Cities can proceed without county approval if they agree to pay the county for school capacity improvements.
Protect Towers and Truckers Act

Ag Manufacturing Economic Development
This bill creates a new Agricultural Manufacturing Investment Grant Account within North Carolina's economic development fund to provide competitive grants up to $500,000 total to agricultural manufacturers.
